There are two common types of disk drives: a hard disk drive (sometimes called a fixed disk drive) and a diskette drive (sometime called a floppy disk drive).(47)(Some models might not have a hard disk drive. ) With a hard disk, your computer can store large amounts of information (called files) in one convenient place.
